Here for sale we have a Michael Kelly 53DB in Cherry Sunburst electric guitar. This guitar features a bolt-on construction consisting of a bound Alder body with Flame Maple top, Satin finished Maple neck and Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a 6 saddle bridge and MK Die Cast tuning machines. This guitar features a pair of Rockfield SWC humbucking pickups. These are wired to a 3-way pickup selector, Master Volume with Push/Pull coil tap and Master Tone with Push/Pull coil tap.
 
The Satin finished Maple neck plays very well, with the ‘Modern C’ shape profile which fills the hand nicely whilst remaining slim enough for fast articulate lines and solos. The Maple fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with the 10.5" radius provides a nicely flat and consistent playing surface right the way up the register. The frets assist with string bending and vibrato techniques.
 
The Rockfield SWC humbuckers give a nice balanced tone with the bridge pickup having more ferocity but cleaning up to a delicate clean sound. The middle position strikes a balance between the nice low end of the neck position and the sharpness from the bridge pickup - perfect for rhythm playing. The neck pickup is warm and smooth, making every note distinguishable. The addition of the push/pull pots means you have access to single coil sounds as well as humbuckers making this guitar extremely versatile.
