Here for sale we have a Maruszczyk Mr Tee Custom 5-String Semi-Hollow Electric Bass in Natural Gloss finish. Made in Poland in 2021, this bass features an Alder body with a Wood Eye Poplar top, a Flamed Maple neck, and a 20-fret Macassar Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include Chrome hardware, Standard Y-Style tuners, an ATS bridge with individual piezo saddles, and a Bassculture 5-String Single Coil pickup. These pickups are wired to Richter Custom Electronics, with controls for volume/pan, bass/treble, and mid/mid frequency.
The Flamed Maple neck plays very well, with the Modern ‘C’ profile feeling nicely slim and manageable in the hand, perfect for speedy, articulate playing along the 30" scale length. The Satin finish to the rear is pleasant to the touch and assists with smooth navigation of the 20 fret register, whilst the single cutaway body design and sculpted heel ensure uninhibited access to the upper frets. The semi-hollow construction of the bass provides exceptional comfort when playing standing up, with a weight of 7.9lbs making those longer gigs an absolute breeze.
The semi-hollow construction also provides an open airiness to the sound which makes the instrument suitable for a wide range of genres whilst retaining a unique and unmistakable voice. The amplified tone of the Mr Tee Custom covers all of the sonic bases you would need as a working musician thanks to the comprehensive pickup options and controls. Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. The front face demonstrates light scratching throughout, only visible under direct light at certain angles, as is common on gloss finishes. The top edge of the front face demonstrates light scuff marks that could not be removed during our cleaning process. The rear face top edge demonstrates light indentation that has not removed any of the finish to reveal the wood beneath.
Neck: Overall very good condition. Any markings to the rear of the neck and fingerboard are difficult to discern. Please note that the original side dots have been filled and replaced with a more traditional placement.
Body: Overall excellent condition. The body demonstrates very light scratching throughout, only visible under direct light at certain angles, as is common on gloss finishes. Any other markings are difficult to discern.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. We have reason to believe that this bass started life as a fretless instrument and has been professionally modified to now be fretted.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional and very good condition. Light tarnishing is apparent to the bridge and tuners.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
