Here for sale we have an absolutely stunning Martin Vintage Series HD-28V Dreadnought acoustic guitar in Gloss Natural finish. A dream guitar for many, this lavishly appointed instrument was crafted in the USA in 2005, and features an all-solid construction comprising a Sitka Spruce top, East Indian Rosewood back and sides, Mahogany neck and 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with Small Diamond Mother Of Pearl inlays. The body is double bound in Antique White, whilst the top is handsomely adorned with Herringbone Purfling, Multi Stripe Rosette and Faux Tortoiseshell pickguard. The back is also embellished, featuring a multi-stripe zig-zag back strip. This instrument is equipped with a Bone nut and saddle, as well as a set of Chrome Waverly tuning machines.
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the Soft ‘V’ profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and providing easy fretting and ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers. The Ebony fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with attractive Mother of Pearl inlays adds a real sense of luxury to an already grandiose playing experience. The traditional 16" radius remains as practical as ever, well suited to both chordal, fingerstyle and melodic playing styles across the register. The Dreadnought body shape is comfortable in the arms, with the all-solid construction ensuring a resonant and lively experience for the player.
The voice of the Martin HD-28V is rich and beautiful, and really lives up to the reputation that this iconic guitar commands. The East Indian Rosewood back and sides provide a silky smooth bass response that remains detailed and accurate across the dynamic range. The mids are punchy and clear, and add a warmth and clarity to the tone. The top end is sparkly and bright, adding a glistening quality to every note played on the instrument. The dynamic range of the Martin HD-28V is truly impressive. Gentle playing is rewarded with a very tender and soft tone, ramping smoothly up to the rich, loud chord strumming sound that the Dreadnought is renowned for, a truly fantastic example of an iconic instrument.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, the top edges demonstrate some consistent indentation that carries down both side edges, these have lightly pierced the finish.
Neck: Overall excellent condition, very light indentations are present to the higher register to the rear of the neck, these can only be seen under close scrutiny. The rear of the neck has buffed to a gloss through regular use.
Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates light scratching and indentation across the lower bout, most notably to the center behind the bridge and to the bass side of the bridge. The bottom edge demonstrates some scuffing and scratching, particularly near the endpin which appears to have been fitted too deep but is stable and causes no problems. Some slight chipping of the finish is apparent surrounding this. The rear demonstrates light scratching and indentation visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use with some indentation in the early register improving as you climb the neck. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work.

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional with very light signs of wear.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
