Here for sale we have a Martin Standard Series 000-17 in Satin Natural finish. Made in the USA in 2025, this guitar takes the tried and tested recipe for a Martin 000 and makes some subtle tweaks to make it stand out from the crowd. These include a new bracing pattern, thinner Ebony fingerboard with rounded edges & a new neck profile with a slimmed down heel. Of course, an all-solid construction is employed and comprises a Mahogany top, back & sides, Select Hardwood neck and 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. A Bone saddle & nut are fitted, along with Bone bridge pins & a set of Grover open-geared tuning machines in Nickel finish. Styling is kept tastefully restrained with just a simple striped rosette & a tortoiseshell pickguard.
The Select Hardwood neck plays exceptionally well, with Golden Era Modified Low Oval profile feeling very comfortable in the hand and allowing for effortless reach across the fretboard. The Ebony fingerboard is supremely pleasant under the fingers, and along with the Mother of Pearl inlays adds a real sense of luxury to the playing experience. The traditional 16" radius ensures a perfect balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for fingerstyle and lead lines. The 000 body size sits very comfortably in the arms whilst providing a lively, resonant yet intimate playing experience that is very rewarding and inspiring.
The acoustic voice of the Martin 000-17 is beautifully balanced. The 000 body size has long been renowned for its clear, open and uniform response across all 6 strings. Striking the perfect balance between the strong bass response and volume of the dreadnought and the intimate, balanced sound of the Parlor, the tone is well suited to both chordal and melodic playing styles. It has a rich low end with clear mids, and an unpronounced yet appealing high end. Well suited to both fingerstyle and strumming, this guitar has a mellow yet distinctive sound that will stand out from the crowd. The guitar projects well and feels dynamically responsive to your playing without loss of clarity at higher volumes.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall excellent condition. The treble side front edge demonstrates some very light indentation, difficult to discern from the natural grain. Very light scratching to the front face is visible under direct light. This is most notable near the G tuning post.
Neck: Overall excellent condition. The early register of the fingerboard demonstrates very light playwear, difficult to discern from the natural grain. The satin finish to the rear of the neck has worn to a light gloss consistent with playwear.
Body: Overall excellent condition. The satin finish has worn to a light gloss in high contact areas, most notably at the treble side of the pickguard. The rear face shows a very light indentation to the treble side of the lower bout which does not pierce the finish.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, with some very light indentation in the early register which does not affect playability. There is considerable material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform. .
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Excellent condition.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2.25mm
