Here for sale we have a Martin DC16GTE electro-acoustic guitar in Natural finish. Made in the USA in 2003, this guitar features a Dovetail neck joint set-neck construction comprising a Solid Spruce top, Sapele in Dark Mahogany Pattern back and sides, Select hardwood neck and 20 fret Richlite fingerboard with matching bridge. A set of Chrome Martin sealed tuning machines are fitted. An internal microphone pickup is installed, and is wired to a shoulder-mounted Martin Prefix preamp with controls for volume, Notch, Blend and sliders for EQ.
The Select Hardwood neck plays very well, with the “Modified Low Oval with Standard Taper” profile filling the hand nicely for a confidence-inspiring grip when chord playing, yet remaining slim enough for articulate melodic lines. The Richlite of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its traditional 16" radius provides a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register, suitable for a wide range of styles and techniques.
The acoustic voice of the Martin DC-16GTE is bright and well balanced. The dreadnought body design delivers plenty of volume and a strong bass response, whilst the Sapele back and sides work together with the Solid Spruce top to produce a bright tone that works just as well as a solo instrument as it does as part of an ensemble. The on-board preamp provides the versatility required for live and recording situations, meaning this guitar is ready for wherever the gig takes you.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, the sides demonstrate circular indentation and scratching consistent with the incorrect use of a string winder. The top edge demostrates light scuffing and indentation that does not pierce the finish.
Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates some indentation and scratching throughout the register that is difficult to discern beneath the thumb. The finish has clouded slightly and delaminated in certain places. The fingerboard demonstrates some light markings difficult to identify against the texture of the fingerboard.
Body: Overall good condition, the front face demonstrates two notable indentations towards the bottom edge, one of these deeply piercing the top. These are structurally sound and do not crack the top. The bottom demonstrates some hairline cracks that have been structurally repaired. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching and indentation visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use with indentation in the early register. This does not affect playability. At the lowest points, there is a small amount of material remaining for future fret work.

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear.
