Here for sale we have a Martin 00-15E Retro in Mahogany burst finish. Made in the USA in 2015, this guitar features an all-solid construction comprising a Mahogany top, Mahogany back and sides, Select Hardwood neck and 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. A Tusq saddle is fitted, along with a Bone nut and Grover Nickel Open-Geared tuning machines with butterbean buttons. This guitar is equipped with Fishman's Acoustic Matrix undersaddle piezo pickup, with the F1 Aura + preamp system discreetly mounted on the shoulder. The system is very advanced, with multi-function controls for volume, tone, image presets, phase and an on-board tuner, as well as a performance mode with even more precise control.
The Select Hardwood neck plays very well, with the Modified Low Oval profile sitting very comfortably in the hand and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers. It's certainly a crowd-pleasing profile; substantial enough for chord playing yet slim enough for articulate lines and fingerstyle techniques. The Ebony fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and adds a touch of luxury to the playing experience. The traditional Martin 16" radius is as practical as ever, striking a perfect balance between comfort and articulation. This is helped by the short 24.9" scale length, which provides a relaxed and easy feeling across the fretboard.
The voice of the Martin 00-15E Retro is remarkably balanced. The Mahogany construction ensures that the low end response is nice and strong, despite the small 00 body size. The mid range is punchy, whilst the top end is nice and sparkly to help your intricate playing cut through the mix with ease. There is plenty of dynamic range to be teased from this instrument, with no loss of clarity at higher volumes. The highly advanced Fishman F1 Aura+ on-board preamp offers an absolute plethora of control from just two simple knobs. It might take a little bit of research to use the unit to its full potential, but in the 'Easy Mode' there is plenty of control without making things too complicated.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, the top edges demonstrate some scuffing and indentation. This is most apparent to the front edge, however all markings are light and difficult to discern against the natural grain.
Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates light indentation throughout the register, most notably on the treble side in the middle register. Some indentations chip the top clear coat slightly, however this is difficult to discern beneath the thumb.
Body: Overall good condition, the front face demonstrates some scratching between the pickguard and the treble side waist, consistent with the use of a plectrum. High traffic areas on the body such as the treble side waist and bass side lower bout have buffed from satin to gloss through regular use. The rear demonstrates a patch like this in the center, likely from resting on a stand. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching and indentation. Due to the thin nature of this finish, some of these are immediately apparent whilst others require certain lighting and angles to be seen,
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of use. The buttons on the electronics are sticky, we have been unable to resolve this through regular cleaning.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2mm - Bass 2.5mm
