Here for sale we have a Larrivee OM-40R acoustic guitar in Satin Natural finish. Featuring a set-neck construction consisting of Indian Rosewood back and sides, Spruce Top, Mahogany neck and 20 fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include Open Back 18:1 tuning machines and an Ebony bridge.
 
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile that might be described as a 'D' shape. This fills the hand nicely for a comfortable grip when chord playing, but remains slim enough for fast articulate playing. The Ebony fingerboard is luxurious under the fingers, and with its 16" radius provides a nicely flat and consistent playing experience right the way up the register, practical for a wide range of styles and techniques. The familiar lines of the OM body shape are as comfortable in the arms as ever, ensuring that long practice sessions and gigs are an absolute breeze. 
 
The voice of the Larrivee OM-40R is rich and beautiful. The Rosewood back and sides provide a silky smooth bass response that remains detailed and accurate across the dynamic range. The mids are punchy and clear, and add a warmth and clarity to the tone. The top end is sparkly and bright, adding a glistening quality to every note played on the instrument. The Spruce top projects very well, meaning that there is plenty of dynamic range to be found in this guitar, which feels nicely responsive to the player's touch.
