Here for sale we have a Lakewood Sungha Jung signature electro-acoustic guitar in Open-Pored Satin Gloss (Natural) finish. Made in Germany in 2021, this guitar is the signature model of the South Korean fingerstyle prodigy. Emerging with a viral youtube video in 2006, Jung's debut album was released in 2010 when he was just 13 years of age, and he has gone on to release a further 18 records containing both covers & original tracks. Jung secured sponsorship from Lakewood guitars in 2009, and his signature model was originally released in 2012. The model has remained in continuous production since then. 
 
An all-solid construction is employed, and comprises a 'AAA' European Spruce top, 'AAA' Indian Rosewood back & sides, Cedro neck & 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. The body is double bound in Maple with a matching back strip, along with the neck & headstock. A tastefully restrained Rosewood rosette adorns the top, matching the headstock veneer. The headstock logo is inlaid in MoP, as is the Sungha Jung signature fingerboard inlay. A set of Gotoh SGL-510Z tuning machines with Rosewood buttons are fitted, as well as a Bone saddle & nut. An L.R Baggs Anthem hybrid under saddle piezo & microphone system is fitted, and is wired to discreet soundhole-mounted controls for master volume, mix & phase reverse. 
 
The Cedro neck plays very well, with the 'C' shape profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip when chord playing, whilst remaining slim enough for articulate melodic playing. The 25.6" scale length is traditional for this style of guitar and ensures that fret spacing is well suited to both melodic and chordal playing styles, whilst providing firm string tension for a nice bright tone. The Ebony fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, adding a real sense of luxury to the playing experience. The 12" radius is practical for a wide range of styles and techniques, whilst the cutaway body design enhances access to the upper register.
 
The acoustic voice of the Sungha Jung signature is rich, balanced & beautifully bright & clear. The Grand Concert body design is similar to a 00 or 000, and as such delivers an incredibly well-balanced response across the frequency range. The European Spruce top projects beautifully, providing plenty of volume & dynamic range along with adding a bright sparkle to every note played on the instrument. The Indian Rosewood back & sides add depth & character to the sound, along with a warm but well-defined bass response. The L.R. Baggs Anthem is one of the best systems on the market, and beautifully captures & conveys the acoustic tone of the instrument in both live & recording situations.
