Here for sale we have a Journey Overhead OC520 collapsible electro-acoustic guitar. Made in China this guitar features a Satin finish Cedar top with Pau Ferro back and sides. Information on specifications online say this is Layered Pau Ferro however in person this looks very much like Rosewood. A detachable Mahogany neck is topped with a Pau Ferro fingerboard. Other appointments include a Pau-Ferro bridge, Bass side shoulder Soundport, Open-Gear gold tuners and travel bag. A Passive Journey Under-Saddle Piezo System is fitted.
The Mahogany neck features a flat slim profile that could be described as a “D” shape. This flat profile combined with the satin finish makes transitioning and stretching for chords extremely fluid and easy. The small Dreadnaught shape of the body fits comfortably in the arms. The body of this guitar features a Wedge design which helps angle the guitars into your body.
The voice of the OC520 is rich and warm whilst remaining incredibly well balanced. The Pau-Ferro back and sides help to produce a nicely mellow tone which is brightened up by the Cedar top. The Soundport on the bass side shoulder delivers the sound of the guitar directly to your ear. The guitar projects well acoustically and offers a wide and sensitive dynamic range. This is captured well by the Passive Piezo pickup.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall good condition. The rear face demonstrates some light indentations to the slot edges, some of which have removed the finish to reveal the wood beneath. 2 indentations are present to the treble side of the headstock, near where it joins the neck, that have left significant marks to the finish.
Neck: Overall very good condition. Small indentations are apparent to the treble side end of the fingerboard. Any other markings to the fingerboard and rear of the neck are difficult to discern. A small scratch is featured on the 6th fret.
Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body demonstrate some light scratching, indentation and scuff marks, most notably beneath the bridge and to the bottom of the sides, near the input jack and strap button. Circular buffing is apparent around the top strap button. This has been caused by a previous owner's use of a strap.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional and very good condition. The string retainer demonstrates a small mark to the treble side, which does not effect its functionality. The truss rod cover displays some black paint transfer that could not be removed during our cleaning process.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2.5mm - Bass 3mm
Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height.

The string retainer has been previously cracked and repaired to a fully functional standard.
