Here for sale we have an Ibanez Sound Gear SRX700 Electric Bass Guitar in Gloss Natural finish. Made in Korea in 2002, this bass consists of a 5-piece Maple and Walnut neck-thru construction with Ash wings, and a 24-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Ibanez die-cast tuners, an Accu-Cast B200 bridge, and a set of Ibanez PFR-AL4 Humbucking pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, a balancer, and a 2-band EQ.

The 5-Piece Maple and Walnut neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘SRX4’ profile feeling slim, allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning. The 12” radius Rosewood fingerboard provides a comfortable playing surface, which allows for different techniques such as slap bass or chordal playing. The Gloss finish is fantastic for smooth, quick transitions up and down the neck whilst the double cutaway body design allows the player to have unobstructed access to the entire 24 fret register.

The two Ibanez PFR-AL4 pickups are fairly bright and articulate for a bass pickup. This bass is capable of a really wide range of tones though thanks to the EQ. The electronics feature volume and balance control along with a 2 band EQ, allowing the player to control treble, and bass frequencies. The simplistic, yet logistical, nature of the control layout provides the player with an easy ‘plug in and go’ characteristic with plenty of scope for tonal shaping and exploring every possible sound that this bass can produce.
