Here for sale we have an Ibanez SR505 5-String Electric Bass in Sapphire Blue Flat finish. Made in Indonesia in 2018, this guitar consists of a Mahogany body, a 5-piece Jatoba/Walnut neck, and a 24-fret Jatoba fingerboard. Other appointments include an Accu-cast B305 bridge, Cosmo Black hardware, Ibanez GB7 die-cast tuners, and a set of Bartolini MK1-5 pickups. These pickups are wired to controls for a 3-Way Mid Freq Switch (250Hz, 450Hz, 700Hz), Treble Boost/Cut, Mid Boost/Cut, Bass Boost/Cut, Volume, and a Balancer.
The 5-Piece Jatoba/Walnut neck plays very well, with its SR5 profile feeling slim and responsive making for an efficient playing experience that you would expect from Ibanez. The Satin finish to the rear of the neck feels pleasing under the thumb and enhances transitions up and down the neck whilst the double cut design of the body makes for great access to the higher register. The Jatoba fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers and its 12” radius this neck is designed to accommodate any playing style. The medium frets offer a rock solid playing surface whilst enhancing vibrato feel.
The Bartolini MK1-5 pickups sound thick and full. These passive pickups have a versatile range of tones thanks to being wired to a 3-way Mid Frequency Switch. This gives the bass huge tonal opportunities giving you the choice between 250hz, 450hz, and 700hz. The Bartolini MK1-5 pickups have lots of definition, sustain and overall clarity. A detailed low end is complemented well by a smooth midrange, whilst the high frequencies are bright and shimmering. The pickups cut through nicely, putting your playing front and centre in even the densest of mixes.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, the top edge demonstrates scuffing, light indentation that does not pierce the finish, and paint transfer that we have been unable to remove through regular cleaning. The indentations continue to a lesser degree around the perimeter, reducing in frequency closer to the nut.
Neck: Overall excellent condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates a small finish imperfection on the volute where the finish is thicker and glossier than elsewhere on the neck. All aspects of the neck demonstrate very light scratching difficult to discern against the natural grain.
Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates some moderate indentation between the pickups and the treble side waist. The edges demonstrate very consistent light to moderate indentation, most concentrated across the lower bout edges. Some of these pierce the finish.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional with moderate signs of wear, most notably oxidation of the bridge and saddles.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-2mm - Bass 2.5mm
