Here for sale we have an Ibanez SR500 Electric Bass in Mahogany Brown finish. Made in Indonesia in 2011, this bass consists of a Mahogany body, a 5-piece Jatoba/Bubinga neck, and a 24-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Cosmo Black hardware, Ibanez die-cast tuners, Abalone oval inlays, and a set of Bartolini MK-1 Passive pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, balancer, 3-band EQ, and a 3-way mid frequency switch.
 
The 5-Piece Jatoba and Bubinga neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘SR4’ profile feeling slim, allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning. The 12” radius Rosewood fingerboard provides a comfortable playing surface, which allows for different techniques such as slap bass or chordal playing. The Satin finish is fantastic for smooth, quick transitions up and down the neck whilst the double cutaway body design allows the player to have unobstructed access to the entire 24 fret register.
 
The two Bartolini MK-1 pickups are fairly bright and articulate for a bass pickup. This bass is capable of a really wide range of tones though thanks to the EQ. The electronics feature volume and balance control along with a 3 band EQ, allowing the player to control treble, middle and bass frequencies. There is also a 2 way mid frequency selector, switching between 250hz and 600hz.
