Here for sale we have an Ibanez SR505 5-String Electric Bass in Black finish. Made in Korea in 2006, this bolt-on constructed bass consists of a Maple body, a 3-piece Maple neck, and a 24-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Ibanez die-cast machine heads, an Accu-cast B25 fixed bridge, and Cosmo Black hardware. The pickups installed on this bass are an Ibanez DX-B5 in the bridge, and an Ibanez DX-N5 in the neck position. These pickups are wired to a volume control, balance, treble boost/cut, bass boost/cut, and a mid boost/cut.
The 3-Piece Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘SR5’ profile feeling slim, allowing for comfortable reach in all registers and promoting ergonomic thumb positioning. The 12” radius Rosewood fingerboard provides a comfortable playing surface, which allows for different techniques such as slap bass or chordal playing. The Gloss finish is fantastic for smooth, quick transitions up and down the neck whilst the double cutaway body design allows the player to have unobstructed access to the entire 24 fret register.
The pair of Ibanez DX pickups produces a modern voicing, thick low end is present which complements the driving mids and sparkling top end, helping put your playing front and centre in the mix. The simplistic, yet logistical, nature of the control layout provides the player with an easy ‘plug in and go’ characteristic with plenty of scope for tonal shaping and exploring every possible sound that this bass can produce.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, the top edge demonstrates several light indentations that do not pierce the finish. These continue around the perimeter of the headstock to a lesser degree. The front face demonstrates very light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. `
Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates consistent light indentation throughout the register, most notable behind the 3rd fret. These are difficult to discern beneath the thumb. Some discoloration is apparent to the heel of the neck. A moderate scratch is apparent to the treble side of the rear behind the 8th fret, piercing the finish slightly.
Body: Overall very good condition, all aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching and indentation, most notable to the rear face consistent with buckle rash. The front face demonstrates a similar level of markings, particularly beside the pickups.
Condition of Frets:
Overall light signs of use, the frets demonstrate some "roundwound markings" in the early register that do not affect playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.
