Here for sale we have an Ibanez RGIX6DLB Iron Label electric guitar in Supernova Burst finish. Made in Indonesia in 2018, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Ash body with Laurel Burl top, 3 piece Maple/Purpleheart neck and 24 Jumbo fret Ebony fingerboard. Black hardware is fitted, including an Ibanez Edge-Zero bridge and Gotoh MG-T Locking tuning machines. A pair of DiMarzio Fusion Edge passive humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way blade switch, master volume and coil split toggle controls. 
 
The 3 piece Maple/Purpleheart neck plays very well. The Nitro Wizard profile feels rather more substantial than a typical Ibanez, whilst remaining slim enough for fast articulate playing. Certainly, the neck inspires confidence in the hand and adds a sense of character to the playing experience. This is further enhanced by the open-pore finish of the Purpleheart centre of the neck. This provides a smooth yet tactile surface under the thumb which is very pleasant when playing. The Ebony fingerboard is pleasant to the touch, and with its 15.75" radius provides a nicely flat and consistent playing surface right the way up the register. 
 
The pair of DiMarzio Fusion Edge humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver a thick and searing distortion tone, well suited to the heavy rock and metal genres that you would associate with this guitar. The neck position is round and powerful, pushing your lead lines and solos to the front of the mix with ease. The bridge pickup is brighter, saturating into a heavy, crushing tone, perfect for your rock riffs and rhythm parts. The coil split toggle is a welcome addition which allows you to get close to a single coil sound for those quieter sections of the set.
