Here for sale we have an Ibanez RG3270 electric guitar in Deep Black finish. Made in Japan in 2003, this particular model comes from Ibanez' high-end Prestige line, and was only available domestically in Japan. Of course featuring a bolt-on construction, this instrument comprises a Mahogany body with Flame Maple top, 3pc-Maple neck and 24 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Cosmo Black hardware is fitted including a Lo Pro double-locking tremolo bridge & Gotoh SG381 tuning machines. A trio of DiMarzio passive pickups are installed in an HSH configuration, with PAF Pro humbuckers in the neck & bridge positions, & a Blue Velvet single-coil in the middle. These are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume & master tone.
The 3-Piece Maple neck plays very well. The ‘Wizard’ profile feels nicely slender and articulate in the hand, with a flattened area to the centre of the neck which promotes ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers and helps to facilitate fast, technical playing. This is further enhanced by the gloss finish which promotes easy navigation of the 25.5" scale. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant to the touch, and with its 17" radius provides a nicely flat and consistent playing surface right the way up the register, well suited to string bending & vibrato thanks to the jumbo frets.
The trio of passive DiMarzio pickups installed in this guitar deliver a wide array of sounds, with the best of humbucking and single-coil tones on offer. The neck pickup is bold and warm, providing all of the clarity needed for your solo tones whilst remaining bright enough for chording and articulate rhythm parts. The humbucker in the bridge is hotter, delivering a full-bodied and saturated harmonic distortion for your lead tones when driving the amp. The single-coil in the middle position has a high output for a single-coil, meaning that it blends well with the neck and bridge pickups.
