Here for sale we have an Ibanez PGM301 Paul Gilbert Signature Electric Guitar in White finish. Made in Japan in 2008, this guitar consists of a Basswood body, a 5-piece Maple/Walnut neck, and a 24-fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a Gotoh GTC101 fixed hardtail bridge, Cosmo Black hardware, Gotoh SG381 tuners, and painted f-holes. The pickups installed in this guitar are two DiMarzio PAF Pro humbuckers in the neck and bridge position, and a DiMarzio JEM Single Coil in the bridge position. These pickups are wired to a master volume, and a 5-way pickup selector.
The 5-piece Maple/Walnut neck plays very well. The ‘PGM Prestige’ profile feels incredibly slender and articulate in the hand, with a flattened area to the centre of the neck which promotes ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers and helps to facilitate fast, technical playing. This is further enhanced by the low gloss finish which promotes easy navigation of the 25.5" scale. The Maple fingerboard is pleasant to the touch, and with its 15.75" radius provides a nicely flat and consistent playing surface right the way up the register, well suited to string bending & vibrato thanks to the jumbo frets.
The trio of DiMarzio pickups installed in this guitar deliver a wide array of sounds, with the best of humbucking and single-coil tones on offer. The DiMarzio PAF Pro humbucking neck pickup is bold and warm, providing all of the clarity needed for your solo tones whilst remaining bright enough for chording and articulate rhythm parts. The DiMarzio PAF Pro humbucker in the bridge is hotter, delivering a full-bodied and saturated harmonic distortion for your lead tones when driving the amp. The DiMarzio JEM single-coil in the middle position has a high output for a single-coil, meaning that it blends well with the neck and bridge pickups.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall excellent condition. Light indentations are present to the edges of the headstock, the most apparent of these can be seen to the bass side edge which can only be seen under close scrutiny. Light scratching is present to the front face, these can only be seen under direct light.
Neck: Overall very good condition. Very light indentations are present to the rear of the neck in the early register, these can slightly be felt in the playing position and can only be seen under close scrutiny. A light indentation is present to the 5th fret on the fingerboard, this can be seen under direct light and can not be felt in the playing position. Light wear markings are present to the fingerboard in the higher register with the most apparent being seen to the 15th fret, this is consistent with past use.
Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body display light to mild indentations, the most noticeable of these can be seen to the front face lower bout treble side edge and to the rear face lower bout edge where the indentation has chipped the finish and a previous owner has attempted a finish repair. A very light indentation can be seen to the front face below the bridge, this has very lightly cracked the lacquer finish but does not expose the wood beneath. All aspects of the body display light scratching which is visible only under direct light, as is common with gloss finishes.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Overall very good condition. Mild tarnishing of the black finish is present to the saddles most noticeably to the bass side saddles, this is consistent with regular past use. Light discoloration is present to the pickups.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
