Here for sale we have an Ibanez Musician Series MC200 Electric Guitar in Natural finish. Made in Japan in 1978, this guitar consists of a Mahogany/Ash/Mahogany body, a 5-piece Rock Maple/Black Walnut neck, and a 24-fret Ebonized Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Gibraltar bridge, a Gibraltar tailpiece, Chrome hardware, Velve-Tune II tuners, and a set of Ibanez Super 88 humbuckers. These humbuckers are wired to two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector.
The 5-piece Rock Maple/Black Walnut neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘Musician’ profile feeling slim, allowing for fast and easy navigation up and down the neck. The 12” radius provides a great playing surface allowing for bending and vibrato techniques and the double cutaway body allows unobstructed access to the higher register, great for those fast lead lines.
The Super 88 humbuckers in this guitar offer a full, thick tone. The Super 88 humbucker in the neck position offers all the soloing clarity you could wish for, with sweet sustain and a warm, full sound that still possesses a clear attack providing a hot output delivering smooth, fluid solo tones under gain, while still being capable of bell-like clean tones. The middle position sounds punchy, with driving mids along with crisp and clear highs making for a nice blend of the two pickups. The Super 88 humbucker in the bridge provides a fat and punchy humbucker-like sound, making power chords sound gritty, whilst also providing soaring lead tones with broad tonal dynamics.
Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. We would advise carefully inspecting the provided photographs for a full understanding of the cosmetic condition of this instrument.
