Here for sale we have an Ibanez JS100 Joe Satriani Signature in a Gloss Black finish. Made in Korea in 2001, this guitar features a Basswood body, a Maple neck and a Rosewood fingerboard. A Ibanez Lo-TRS II Locking Tremolo is featured along with a pair of Ibanez Axis humbucking pickups with an Axis 2 in the bridge and an Axis 1 in the neck. These are wired to a 3-way pickup selector, master volume and master tone with a push/pull coil splitting control.
The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand with the ‘JS100’ profile, offering a smooth and fluid playing surface, feeling slim in the hand offering ergonomic thumb and hand placement. The Rosewood fretboard feels pleasant under the fingers and provides a smooth surface for the user to explore, along with the 10” radius making bending and vibrato techniques a breeze. The double cutaway body design provides uninhibited access to the higher frets.
The Ibanez Axis humbuckers have a high output and a powerful tone. The Axis 1 in the neck provides deep low ends which are defined, great for fast, smooth lead lines. The middle position has punchy and crisp mids great for chordal styles of playing. The Axis 2 in the bridge position has aggressive, clear and articulate highs, perfect for more modern, progressive styles of playing, perfect for both ripping through a mix. The master controls keep things feeling simple, with easy and intuitive tonal shaping, while the push/pull coil split gives great versatility, perfect for crisp, sparkling clean tones.

Aesthetic Condition:
Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentations are present to the edges of the headstock with the most noticeable being seen too the tip, with this silver marker pen can be seen near this. Light to mild scratching is present to the front face of the headstock with the most apparent being visible to the I of the Ibanez logo.
Overall very good condition. Light indentations are present to the rear of the neck across the register with the most apparent being seen and felt to the bass side of the 4th fret. Very light lateral scratching is present across the register of the fingerboard, these can be seen under close scrutiny and can not be felt in the playing position. The satin finish to the rear of the neck has polished to a gloss texture through regular past use.
Overall good condition. A previous repair is present between the bridge pickup and bridge, this is structurally sound and does not affect the guitar's function. A screw hole is present near the bass side strap button, this has had an attempt to fill the hole and colour in the exposed wood. Two screw holes are present near the bridge pickup from where a previous owner installed a pickup system. A lacquer crack is present to the bass side of the neck pocket, this has been tested and present no issues. A mild indentation is present on the bass side of the rear face, this has partially exposed the wood. Light to moderate scratching is present to all aspects of the guitar with the most apparent being seen to the rear face, the lighter scratching can be viewed under direct light as is common with gloss finishes.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate notable signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional & adjustable. No truss rod tool included (hex 4mm)
Hardware: Overall good condition. The bridge posts have been shimmed to prevent them from tilting forward, the bridge functions as intended. The bridge and tuning machines display light to mild tarnishing consistent with regular past use. A replacement tremolo arm is included.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
