Here for sale we have an Ibanez EGEN8 Herman Li signature electric guitar in Platinum Blonde finish. Made in Indonesia in 2010, this guitar features a African Mahogany body with a Flamed Maple top, Maple neck and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. The hardware featured on this guitar consists of a Ibanez Lo-TRS tremolo bridge and Gotoh sealed tuning machines. The pickups in this guitar are a trio of Ibanez V8, V7 humbuckers and a Ibanez S1 single-coil, these are wired to 5-way selector, Master volume with push/pull coil-split and a master tone control.
The Maple ‘Wizard lll’ profile neck sits comfortably in the hand, and with its Satin finish providing a quick and smooth surface to navigate on. The Rosewood fingerboard feels pleasant under the fingers whilst the 15.75” radius and Jumbo frets assist with string bending and vibrato techniques, feeling rock solid under the fingers and providing a smooth and reliable playing surface. The body cutaways provide unobstructed access right up to the 22nd fret and the 1.4” body thickness provides a lightweight guitar that is comfortable in both sitting and standing positions.
The two Ibanez V8 and V7 humbuckers produce a thick and powerful modern tone. The neck pickup provides crystal clear clean sounds, with more aggressive mids and increased sustain as you crank the gain, this is perfect for high-speed solos and long sustained melodic interludes. The bridge pickup offers a tight bottom end, and a searing high frequency cut, making a great pickup for heavy styles of music and modern techniques. The Ibanez S1 single-coil in the middle position sits great with a nice balance of bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. Providing a great feel and clarity, allowing the player to achieve a wide variety of tones all at the fingertips, especially with the push/pull coil-split feature.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall excellent condition. Light indentations are present to the edges of the headstock, the most apparent of these can be seen to both the bass and treble side top edge, these can be seen under close scrutiny. Markings can be seen to the bass side edge, these are consistent with past use of a string winder.
Neck: Overall excellent condition, the rear of the neck has buffed to a slight gloss texture from past use, common with Satin finishes. Very light indentations are present to the rear of the neck across the register, these can only slightly be felt with the most apparent being felt at the 2nd fret.
Body: Overall very good condition. Light to mild indentations are present to all aspects of the body, the most apparent of these can be seen to the treble side edge most noticeable to the horn, the rear face towards the neck and to the bass side of the bridge, these have lightly pierced the finish. The Satin finish has been lightly polished to a gloss texture through previous use, these are noticeable to high contact areas such as the treble side wait and bass side of the bridge.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. Light flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is moderate material remaining for future fret work.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Overall very good condition and fully functional. Light to mild tarnishing and wearing of the finish can be seen to all aspects of the metal hardware, this is most noticeable to the pickup rings and bridge, consistent with previous use. Tremolo arm included.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
