Here for sale we have an Ibanez AS73 Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar in Olive Metallic finish. Made in Indonesia in 2019, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Laminated Linden body, 1-piece Nyatoh neck and 22-fret Laurel fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a Gibraltar Performer bridge, sealed tuning machines & a Quik Change III Tailpiece. The pickups installed are a set of Ibanez Classic Elite Humbuckers. These pickups are wired to a 3-way toggle switch & independent volume & tone controls.
The 1-Piece Nyatoh neck plays very well, with the AS Artcore profile feeling somewhat like a rounded 'C' shape; fairly substantial in the hand without being at all cumbersome. Certainly, the profile provides a confidence-inspiring grip for chord playing whilst remaining slim enough for fast lead lines and solos. The Laurel fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its 12" radius is practical for a wide range of styles and techniques. The Acrylic block inlays add a sense of luxury to the playing experience while setting off the visually striking finish.
The Ibanez Classic Elite Humbucker in the neck position sounds thick and full, with a rich low end great for rhythm tones. The middle position provides a punchy, tight midrange great for chordal styles of playing whilst being able to cut through a mix. The bridge position produces a clear and articulate top end, balancing very well with a punchy output, providing great feel and clarity & allowing the player to achieve a wide variety of tones. The semi-hollow construction means that the tone is more open and airy than a solid body, whilst the pickups ensure that the guitar can drive an amplifier with ease. The classic control layout offers ease of use and a broad sweep of both volume and tone to really help you accurately dial in your desired tones.
