Here for sale we have a Hoyer Philadelphia Hollow Body Electric Guitar in Transparent Black finish. Made in Japan circa.90’s-00’s this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising an Arched Figured Maple top, Maple back and sides and a 22 Medium Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard and matching bridge. Chrome/Nickel hardware is fitted including a T-Bar trapeze tailpiece and sealed tuning machines. A single Unbranded mini humbucker pickup is installed, and is wired to a master volume control and a master tone control.

The Maple neck plays very well, with the neck feeling rather narrow in the hand thanks to the slim nut width of 1.681". This offers easy reach across the register for tricky chord voicings and jazzy lead lines. The profile to the rear of the neck might be described as a ‘D’ shape, well suited to a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The generous Florentine cutaway improves access to the upper register, really opening up the full range of the instrument.

The hollow body construction of the instrument provides a nicely open and airy tone which is dynamically responsive to the player's touch. The single mini humbucker pickup captures this well, delivering a thick, round tone which is well suited to smooth and dark jazz lead lines. The on-board controls for master volume and tone assist with dialling the perfect sound for any situation as well as managing feedback. A striking instrument with a unique playing experience.

Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers. We advise checking the total import cost with Customs as this is not information we are able to accurately provide.
