Here for sale we have a Hofner Verythin HVSC-R Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar in Red finish. With Chinese woodwork, and finally assembly and set-up in Germany, this guitar consists of a Maple body with a Spruce top, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include a Tune-o-Matic bridge with roller saddles, a Bigsby B70 tailpiece with added Vibramate plate, Sperzel tuners, and a set of Hofner Diamond Humbuckers. These pickups are wired to two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector.
The Hofner Verythin truly lives up to its name with its body depth of only 1.5 inches, feeling light and easy to play. The neck is a rounded ‘C’ shape, filling the hand pleasantly and its jumbo frets making bending a breeze. The cutaway is shallower than your typical semi-hollow body electric guitar, granting easy access to the upper frets and the tune-o-matic bridge with roller saddles, and Bigsby B70 tailpiece with added Vibramate plate keep the guitar feeling solid and stable.
The two Hofner Diamond Logo Pickups sound meaty and thick without having too high of an output. When amplified, the guitar sounds very clear and articulate, and the pickups certainly translate this attribute well while also providing plenty of power. The Verythin HVSC-R is resonant, especially for a guitar of its humble thickness and it sustains very well, feeling responsive yet controlled when plugged in.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, one of the truss rod screws has snapped off in the headstock, leaving the shaft of the screw embedded in the face.
Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard.
Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates consistent light scratching between the pickups and the treble side waist, causing a slight hazing of the finish. The rear face demonstrates some light scratching and scuffing consistent with buckle rash. A light indentation is apparent to the side of the guitar at the treble side lower bout, piercing the finish.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.
