Here for sale we have a Gretsch G9550 New Yorker in Satin Vintage Sunburst finish. The New Yorker Auditorium is an archtop acoustic guitar which features a set-neck construction comprising a Arched Solid Spruce top, Laminated Maple back and sides, Mahogany neck and 19 fret Rosewood fingerboard. The body is double-bound, with “F” sound holes, Katalox bridge, Chrome tailpiece & Grover Grover Sta-Tite tuning machines. 
 
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a Vintage “V” profile offering a unique playing experience akin to older times. The profile promotes ergonomic thumb positioning across the register, perfect for the jazz chordings. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, with a 14" radius that is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques, offering fast jazz style lead lines in the upper register and quick chordal transitions in the early register.
 
The acoustic voice of the New Yorker is distinctly archtop, with a dark and mellow tone that is perfect for jazz playing. Thanks to the large stature of the body and the twin large soundholes, the instrument projects very well and produces plenty of volume. The Spruce Top provides clarity and bright overtones. This guitar delivers an authentic Jazz-Box experience.
