Here for sale we have a Gretsch G6131T-62 Vintage Select ’62 Jet Firebird Electric Guitar in Firebird Red finish. Built in Japan in 2016, this set-neck constructed guitar consists of a Chambered Mahogany body with a Laminated Maple top, a Mahogany neck, and a 22 Medium Jumbo fret Ebony fingerboard adorned with Neo Classic "Thumbnail" Inlays. Other appointments include an Ebony-Based Space Control Roller Bridge, Grover Sta-Tite tuning machines and a Bigsby B3G Vibrato Tailpiece. The pickups featured consist of two Gretsch Filter'Tron Classic humbuckers, these are wired to a Master Volume, Neck Volume, Bridge Volume controls, a 3-Way Pickup Selector, 3-Way Tone Switch and a Gretsch ‘Mute’ Switch.

The Mahogany neck plays fantastically well, with the Standard ‘U’ profile that feels slender in the hand, offering effortless navigation across the register, this results in a balanced playing experience that is practical for both chord playing and articulate lead lines. The Ebony fingerboard is supremely luxurious under the fingers, and with its 12" radius is suitably vintage-inspired whilst offering practicality for string bending and vibrato techniques. This is further enhanced by the Medium Jumbo frets which provide a rock-solid and durable playing surface. This is a relatively short scale length which results in lower string tension, making for a slinky and easily manoeuvrable feel across the entire register.

The Gretsch Filter'Tron Classic humbucking pickups have a rich, open tone, with a warm low end, a tight and creamy midrange, along with an airy, articulate top end, providing loads of clarity across a wide range of tonal settings. The individual pickup volume knobs and 3-way tone switch help to inspire the exploration of different tones and sounds that can be made with the guitar. The G6131T-62 produces that unmistakable 'Gretsch Sound' that the brand is so famous for, and is guaranteed to inspire any guitarist to play in ways that they have never before.
