Here for sale we have a Gretsch G6120SSUGR Brian Setzer Nashville Hollow-Body Electric Guitar in Green Tiger Flame finish. Made in Japan in 2004, this set-neck constructed guitar consists of a Laminated Flame Maple body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Ebony fingerboard. Other appointments include a Bigsby B60 Vibrato Tailpiece, an Adjusto-matic bridge, Sperzel Locking Tuners, and a set of TV Jones classic pickups. These pickups are wired to a master volume, neck volume, bridge volume, 3-way pickup selector, and a 3-way tone selector.
The Maple neck plays fantastically well, with a moderately sized Soft 'V' profile that fills the hand nicely for a substantial grip without being at all cumbersome. This results in a balanced playing experience that is practical for both chord playing and articulate lead lines. The Ebony fingerboard is supremely luxurious under the fingers, and with its 9.5" radius is suitably vintage-inspired whilst offering practicality for string bending and vibrato techniques. This is further enhanced by the medium frets which provide a rock-solid and durable playing surface. The glossy finish to the rear of the neck is pleasant under the thumb and assists with smooth navigation of the 24.6" scale. This is a relatively short scale length which results in lower string tension, making for a slinky and easily manoeuvrable feel across the entire register.
The TV Jones Classic pickups have a rich, open tone, with a warm low end, a tight and creamy midrange, along with an airy, articulate top end, providing loads of clarity across a wide range of tonal settings. The individual pickup volume knobs and 3-way tone switch help to inspire the exploration of different tones and sounds that can be made with the guitar. The G6120SSU Brian Setzer produces that unmistakable 'Gretsch Sound' that the brand is so famous for, and is guaranteed to inspire any guitarist to play in ways that they have never before.
Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers. We advise checking the total import cost with Customs as this is not information we are able to accurately provide.
