Here for sale we have a Gretsch G5135CVT Corvette Electric Guitar in Cherry Stain finish. Made in China in 2007, this guitar consists of a 5-ply Maple body with a Mahogany top, a Mahogany neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Bigsby Tremolo tailpiece, an Anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge, Vintage Style tuners, Knurled Strap Retainer strap buttons, and a set of Gretsch MegaTron pickups. These pickups are wired to two volume controls, a tone control, and a three-way pickup selector.
The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘D’ profile feeling slim the hand without being too cumbersome, offering a smooth and articulate playing experience. The Rosewood fingerboard feels quick under the fingers and provides a smooth playing surface for the user to explore, along with the 12” radius and Medium Jumbo frets making bending and vibrato techniques a breeze. The generous double cutaway body design offers inhibited access to the highest frets whilst the body contours and lightweight nature of the instrument feels great in the arms.
This guitar is equipped with Gretsch MegaTron pickups which are essentially wound the same way as Powertron pickups, but using Ceramic magnets instead of Alnico. The Gretsch MegaTron in the neck position sounds thick and full, with a rich low end great for rhythm tonalities. The Gretsch MegaTron in the bridge position produces a clear and articulate top end, balancing very well with a punchy output, providing a great feel and clarity, allowing the player to achieve a wide variety of tones all at the fingertips.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, Light chipping of the finish can be seen to the bass side edge, these have chipped the lacquer finish but do not expose the wood beneath. All aspects of the headstock display light to mild scratching which can be seen under direct light,the most apparent of these can be seen to the front face and near the serial number to the rear.
Neck: Overall excellent condition. Very light markings can be seen under direct light to the rear of the neck at the 3rd fret; these can only be seen under close scrutiny. All other aspects of the neck and fingerboard display light signs of past use.
Body: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the body display light to mild scratching which can be seen under direct light, as is common with gloss finishes.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate mild signs of use, not affecting playability. Denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) included in case.
Hardware: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the metal hardware display light to mild signs of tarnishing, this is most apparent to the bridge and pickup covers, consistent with regular past use. Mild scratching is present to the pick guard, consistent with past use, these can be seen under direct light.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
