Here for sale we have a Gretsch G2420 Streamliner in Black finish. Made in Indonesia in 2016, this guitar features a Laminated Maple top, back and sides along with a Nato neck with 22 Medium Jumbo fret Laurel fingerboard. The hardware features consists of a Adjusto-matic Rosewood base bridge, Chromatic II tailpiece and a set of sealed tuning machines. The pickups featured are a pair of Gretsch Broad'Tron humbuckers, wired to a 3-way selector, master volume, master tone and individual pickup volume controls.
The Nato neck sits comfortably in hand, with the Thin ‘U’ profile feeling slim and quick, providing a comfortable and ergonomic playing surface. The Gloss finish to the rear of the neck provides effortless navigation up and down the neck, whilst the 12" radius Laurel fingerboard provides a nicely flat and consistent playing experience right the way up the register. The single cutaway body design provides great access to the higher frets, great for those fast lead lines.
The hollow construction provides a responsive and resonant tone, with ‘Trestle Block’ bracing that improves tone by increasing sustain and decreasing feedback, this provides an unpronounced yet well defined low end that is complimented by a warm midrange and detailed high frequencies, this coupled with the Gretsch Broad'Tron humbucking pickups provide a thick, warm voicing, with distinct top-end that is articulate and well-defined. The controls offer a wide range of tonal opportunities, individual volume controls mean that you can blend the pickups to your preference in the middle position, providing complete tone-shaping flexibility.
