Here for sale we have a Gretsch Electromatic G5235T Electric Guitar in Gold Sparkle finish. Made in China in 2007, this guitar consists of a Mahogany body, a Mahogany neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include vintage style tuners, a replacement trapeze tailpiece, a Tune-o-Matic bridge, and a set of Gretsch Mini Humbuckers. These pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a three-way pickup selector.
The profile of this guitar resembles a ‘C’ profile giving the guitar a great middle ground between a chunky and thin neck profile making it perfect for chordal and lead players alike, as it caters comfortability for both playing styles. The Medium Jumbo frets enhance bends and vibrato techniques, making them easier to play with the 12" radius still giving enough comfortability for chordal fretting.
The mini-humbuckers have a punchy sound with plenty of brightness and high end presence. Due to the biting tone it is great for styles like rock or blue, cutting through with leads, however they can handle almost any style you throw at them thanks to the volume and tone controls allowing you to really personalise the tone. The neck pickup offers a slightly darker and thicker tone compared to the brighter bridge pickup which still offers plenty of warmth to each note.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light to mild scratching and scuffing, only visible under direct light and close scrutiny. the most apparent scuff marking can be seen to the rear top edge.
Neck: Overall very good condition. The binding demonstrates small cracks to bass side of the 3rd and 7th fret, with discoloration to the binding throughout the register at both the treble and bass side of the fret ends, due to the differing expansion rate of the materials.
Body: Overall good condition. Screw holes are present to the lower bout of the front face and to the bottom edge, this is from where the original bigsby was installed. All aspects of the body demonstrate light to mild scratching, scuffing and indentations. Most notably, indentations to the front face above toggle switch and to the treble side of the lower bout, the latter revealing the wood beneath. The sides demonstrate scuffing and concentrated scratching throughout, with markings from a previously installed trapeze tailpiece bracket. The rear face demonstrates further scratching and scuffing, with no markings that reveal the wood beneath.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Light denting is present to the early register and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5mm hex) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional and very good condition. A previous owner has replaced the original Bigsby tailpiece with a trapeze tailpiece which displays mild tarnishing and scratching of the finish, the original Bigsby is not included. All aspects of the metal hardware display light tarnishing from past use.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
