Here for sale we have a Grassroots Tetsuya Signature 5 string electric bass. Made in China this bass features an Ash body with Quilted Maple top, Maple neck and 22 fret Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include open-gear tuning machines and top-loading bridge. A single-coil and humbucker is fitted and wired to active controls for boost-cut 3 band EQ, Master volume, Blend and 3-way bridge tone switch.
The Maple neck plays exceptionally well, with what might be described as a ‘U' shaped profile that is substantial enough to sustain a firm grip whilst remaining slim enough for articulate lines. The Maple fingerboard provides a smooth and durable playing surface across the register. The large cutaways and generous body contours ensure uninhibited fret access whilst improving comfort on long gigs and practice sessions.
Amplified, the Tetsuya signature delivers an absolutely stunning fundamental bass tone right away. The lows are thick and rumbling, with warm driving mids and a beautiful sparkling top end that captures all the snap and attack of your playing. The on-board active preamp does a fantastic job of sculpting your tone, with comprehensive controls that ensure you are always able to dial in your perfect sound.
