Godin Session Vintage Burst Semi-Gloss 2017 Electric Guitar
Here for sale we have a Godin Session Electric Guitar in Vintage Burst Semi-Gloss finish. Made in Canada in 2017, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising a Canadian Laurentian Basswood body, Hard Rock Maple neck and 22 fret Maple fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a Godin Tru-Loc Tremolo bridge and a set of 18:1 Godin tuning machines. A trio of pickups are installed in an HSS configuration, with a Godin Custom humbucker in the bridge position and two Godin GS-1 single-coils in the neck and middle positions. These are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume and a master tone with a push/pull coil split.
 
The Maple neck of this guitar features a Medium 'C' profile promoting ergonomic thumb positioning and providing a suitably vintage-inspired playing experience whilst the Satin finish to the rear adds a sophisticated playing experience that will suit many styles, feeling articulate, smooth and precise. The sculpted neck heel enhances access to the upper frets, really opening up the full range of the instrument.
 
The trio of pickups in this guitar are installed in an HSS configuration, with a pair of Godin GS-1 single coils in the neck and middle positions and a Godin Custom humbucker in the bridge. The Humbucker in the bridge is nice and hot, delivering a nice crunch and distortion sounds. The pair of Godin GS-1 single coils in the neck and middle provide traditional tonalities, with crystal cleans and crunchy drive tones readily available. The push/push coil split allows you to obtain a more traditional tone from the bridge pickup, making this an exceptionally versatile instrument.

    Aesthetic Condition:

    Headstock: Overall very good condition. The treble side edge demonstrates a small area of dark discolouration which could not be removed during our cleaning process. Any other markings to the headstock are difficult to discern.

    Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates very light scratching and indentation, these markings are only visible under direct light and cannot be felt by the hand in playing position.

    Body: Overall very good condition. An indentation is apparent to the treble side lower bout sides, between the waist and input jack. This has marked but not removed any of the finish. A small scuff mark is apparent to the rear face at the top of the body contour.

     

    Condition of Frets:

    The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Light denting is present to the early register and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

     

    Current Set Up:

    Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (4mm hex) not included.

    Hardware: Fully functional and very good condition. Light scratching and tarnishing is apparent to the bridge, neck plate, pickup cover and tuners. Concentrated light scratching is apparent to the pickguard.

    Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

    Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm

    Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height.
