Here for sale we have a Gibson SG Special P-90 in Ebony finish. Made in the USA in 2021, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Indian Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted, including a compensated wraparound bridge and Vintage Deluxe tuning machines with white buttons. A pair of Gibson P-90 pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, neck volume, neck tone, bridge volume and bridge tone controls. 
 
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the Slim Taper profile offering a smooth and responsive playing experience across the. The profile might be described as a 'D' shape, with a nicely flattened area to the centre of the profile which promotes ergonomic thumb positioning. The nut width at 1.709" is rather wide, ensuring that there is ample space at either side of the strings to avoid 'falling off' the board. The 12" fingerboard radius is traditional for Gibson and is as practical and comfortable as ever. 
 
The pair of Gibson P-90 pickups installed in this guitar deliver a thick and raw sound, with a solid output that pushes the front end of an amp very nicely. The lows are full-bodied yet tight, the midrange is punchy and powerful- easily cutting through a mix. Along with the biting high frequencies, there is a well rounded tone on offer here which is well suited to a wide range of genres & playing styles. The pickups are very dynamic, more so than the slightly compressed nature of humbuckers, while offering more power than is usually associated with single coils.
