Here for sale we have a Gibson Midtown Standard Electric Bass in Cherry Red finish. Made in the USA in 2013, this Bass consists of a Mahogany body with a Maple top, a Mahogany neck, and a 20-fret Bound Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include 4-saddle adjustable bridge, Grover Open-Gear tuners, a Gibson TB Plus humbucker in the neck, and an Alnico II TB Mini Humbucker in the bridge position. These pickups are wired to a master volume, master tone, and a three-way pickup selector.
The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the profile feeling chunky without being cumbersome, offering a dependable grip whilst also providing a smooth and articulate playing experience. The Rosewood fingerboard feels pleasant under the fingers, whilst the 10” radius allows for ease of different techniques such as slap bass or chordal playing. The double cutaway body design allows the player to have unobstructed access to the entire register, whilst its semi-hollow nature also makes longer durations of playing a comfortable experience.
The semi-hollow construction provides an open airiness to the sound which makes the instrument suitable for a wide range of genres whilst retaining a unique and unmistakable voice. The Gibson humbuckers deliver a thick and powerful tone, with smooth rounded lows, clear and open mid range and a sweet treble response that captures the attack and aggression of your playing. The pots feel nicely responsive, allowing you to dial in your perfect tone with ease, whilst the simplicity of the controls ensure that you can stay focussed on your playing whilst still offering comprehensive control of your tone.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall excellent condition, the rear face demonstrates some nitro checking, typical for this finish.
Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard.
Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates light yet consistent scratching beside the neck pickup, consistent with the use of a plectrum. All aspects demonstrate very light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate minimal signs of use.
