Here for sale we have a Gibson ES-339 Studio semi-hollow electric guitar in Ginger Burst finish. Made in Gibson's Memphis factory in the USA in 2017, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Laminated Maple body with centre block, Maple neck and 22 fret Torrefied Maple fingerboard. Nickel hardware is fitted including an ABR-1 TOM bridge, StopBar tailpiece & Grover Rotomatic tuning machines. A pair of passive Gibson humbucking pickups are installed, with a '57 Classic in the neck and Super '57 in the bridge. These are wired to a three way toggle switch and independent volume & tone controls.
The Maple neck plays very well, with the Traditional 'C' profile feeling fairly slim in the hand. This works well for lead playing and demanding solos, whilst of course being a Gibson, there is still plenty of substance to grip for chord playing and rhythm. The Torrefied Maple fingerboard is something of a departure from traditional Rosewood, but in the hands it certainly doesn't feel like a compromise. The grain is nice and tight as you would expect, providing a durable and smooth playing surface across the register with the distinctive dark appearance that we expect from Gibson guitars.
Amplified, the pair of Gibson passive humbucking pickups deliver thick and full-bodied tones, perfect for a wide range of playing styles & genres. Gibson's '57 Classic pickups are designed to be a modern recreation of the original PAF. AlNiCo 2 magnets are used in conjunction with Nickel plated pole pieces & slugs, Maple spacers & vintage style cloth wiring to achieve a sound which is as close as can be to the original whilst providing more modern reliability & convenience. The neck position is round and creamy, delivering plenty of power to drive your lead & solo tones to the front of the mix. The Super '57 in the bridge is hotter, saturating into a thick drive or distortion when pushing your amp.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, the top rear bass side corner demonstrates a very small chip, slightly revealing the wood. There is some finish cracking to the top edge along the seam of the headstock "wings" which is typical with nitro finish and is due to the varying expansion and contraction rates of the joined pieces of wood. Similar finish cracking can be identified around the perimeter of the faceplate. Very light scratching to all aspects of the headstock is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes.
Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates very light scratching and scuffing throughout the register which cannot be felt beneath the thumb in the playing position. The fingerboard shows light to mild scratching when viewed under close scrutiny. This is most notable at the first & 19th frets. Very light chipping is present at the treble side edge of the 8th fret.
Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates a moderate indentation to the centre of the lower bout, piercing the finish slightly. All aspects of the body demonstrate a "Speckling" of the finish under direct lighting at certain angles, likely from aerosol being sprayed near the guitar. All aspects of the body also demonstrate light scratching and indentation throughout, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. This is most apparent on the front face towards the treble side of the waist, consistent with the use of a plectrum. The center of the rear face demonstrates an imprint from a stand, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. The holes for the scratchplate have been filled with a black wax.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
