Here for sale we have a Gibson Les Paul Traditional Pro II in Merlot finish. Made in the USA in 2013, this guitar is part of a short lived run from 2012-'14 which aimed to marry the best of the Les Paul's traditional features with modern tweaks and distinctive finishes. Naturally, a set-neck construction is employed and comprises a Mahogany body, Flamed Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted, including a Nashville TOM bridge, StopBar tailpiece & Grover sealed locking tuning machines. A pair of Gibson Zebra coil passive humbucking pickups are installed, with a '57 Classic in the neck and Super '57 in the bridge. These are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent volumes with & tone controls. The volume knobs both feature a push/pull for coil splitting while the bass tone knob features a push/pull to activate the boost circuit.

The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the 60’s SlimTaper profile filling the hand nicely without being overly thick or cumbersome. This offers a balanced and smooth playing experience across the register, well suited to a wide range of playing styles and techniques and feeling dependable. The traditional 12" fingerboard radius strikes the perfect balance between comfortable chord playing and smooth lead lines, making for a truly authentic yet refined Les Paul playing experience. The Medium Jumbo frets provide a rock-solid playing surface whilst also assisting with string bending and vibrato techniques.

The pair of Gibson '57 Classic & Super humbuckers installed in this guitar offer warm and rich tones, exactly as you would expect from a Les Paul. The neck is thick and creamy, saturating beautifully into full-bodied distortion as you crank the gain; perfect for lead lines and solos. The bridge position is as bright and biting as you could ever need, helping you to cut through any mix with rock rhythm tones. The traditional Les Paul control layout keeps things feeling simple, with easy and intuitive controls that feels nicely responsive to small changes, allowing you to tweak your tone right on the guitar.
