Here for sale we have a Gibson Les Paul Studio in Wine Red finish. Built in the USA in 2005, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 Medium Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. This instrument is equipped with Gold hardware including a Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece along with Gibson Deluxe tuning machines. The Pickups are a pair of Gibson 490R, Gibson 498T Humbuckers, wired to a bridge volume and tone and a neck volume and tone controls.

The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the profile resembling a rounded 50s  filling the hand without feeling too cumbersome, providing a smooth and articulate playing experience. The Rosewood fingerboard feels pleasant under the fingers and provides a smooth playing surface for the user to explore, along with the 12” radius and Medium Jumbo frets making bending and vibrato techniques a breeze. The familiar lines of the body feel great in the arms, whilst the single cutaway body design provides the player with unobstructed access to the higher register, great for those high end lead lines.

The Gibson 490R humbucker in the neck position sounds thick and full, with a rich low end great for rhythm tonalities. The middle position provides a punchy, tight midrange great for chordal styles of playing whilst being able to cut through a mix. The 498T humbucker in the bridge position produces a clear and articulate top end, balancing very well with a punchy output,  providing a great feel and clarity, allowing the player to achieve a wide variety of tones all at the fingertips.

    Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Light delamination of the lacquer finish can be seen around the tuning machines to the front face, this is common with nitrocellulose finish and has not exposed the wood. A seam is visible along the top edge where the headstock and headplate meet. This is very common with Gibson guitars and presents no structural concern. Light indentations can be seen to the front edges of the headstock, with this light scratching is also present to the front face which can be seen under direct light.

Neck: Overall very good condition. A mild indentation is present to the treble side of the neck heel, this has exposed the wood and can be felt under the fingers. Light scratching is present to the fingerboard most apparently to the 2nd and 11th frets, these can only be seen under close scrutiny and can not be felt in the playing position. The rear of the neck displays light scratching throughout the register, these can only be seen under direct light and can not be felt in the playing position.

Body: Overall very good condition. A mild chip and delamination is present to the front face, treble side lower bout, the chip has exposed the wood beneath whereas the delamination present is stable ,not exposing any wood. Light or mild indentations are present to all aspects of the body, the most noticeable of these can be seen to the front face bass side of the bridge pickup and to the center of the rear face, consistent with buckle rash. All aspects of the body display light to mild scratching which can be seen under direct light, as is common with gloss finishes.

    Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Light denting and flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

    Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5/16" socket) not included.

Hardware: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the metal hardware display light to mild tarnishing of the finish, this is most apparent to the bass side of the bridge and tailpiece. Moderate scratching is present to the toggle selector cover.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
