Here for sale we have a Gibson Les Paul Studio in Ebony finish. Made in the USA in 1995, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with Carved Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a Nashville T-O-M bridge and StopBar tailpiece, along with Gibson Deluxe tuning machines with 'Tulip' buttons. A pair of Gibson humbucking pickups are installed, with a 490R in the neck and 498T in the bridge. These are wired to the traditional 3-way toggle switch and independent volume and tone controls.

The Mahogany neck plays very well, with a profile that could be described as a 'C' shape which fills the hand nicely for a substantial and confidence inspiring grip whilst chord playing. Certainly the profile is on the 'chunkier' side, and is well suited to the rock and blues riffing that the Les Paul is associated with. The gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 24.75" scale, and when paired with the playwear and use that this guitar has seen in the last 30 years, the playing experience feels nicely worn-in and familiar. The Rosewood fingerboard with Trapezoid inlays is a premium feature and adds a real sense of luxury.

The pair of Gibson 490R/498T humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick, throaty and full-bodied tones, just as we have all come to expect from a Les Paul. The neck position is round and powerful, perfect for lead tones and solos. The bridge is brighter and hotter, and saturates into a thick distortion when driving the amp. The traditional Les Paul control layout is as practical as ever, allowing you to tailor your sound without going near a pedal board. An instrument from one of Gibson's best eras, with genuine vintage vibe and patina from its 30 years of use.

    Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall excellent condition. Very light delamination of the finish is apparent surrounding the D & B tuning posts. Light scratching to all aspects of the headstock is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes.

Neck: Overall excellent condition. The fingerboard shows some light marking close to the frets in the upper register, not affecting playability. This is perhaps most notable to the 18th & 20th frets. A light indentation is present to the bass side rear of the neck behind the 12th fret.

Body: Overall very good condition. Light to mild scratching, indentation & scuffing to all aspects of the body is visible under direct light and close scrutiny. This is most notable art the treble side front edge of the lower bout where the wood is very lightly exposed. The pickguard shows milder scratching consistent with playwear.

    Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. Light to mild flattening of the frets is apparent throughout the register. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
