Here for sale we have a Gibson Les Paul Studio in Ebony finish. Made in the USA in 1993, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with Carved Maple top, Maple neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Gold hardware is fitted including a T-O-M bridge and StopBar tailpiece, along with Gibson Deluxe tuning machines with 'Tulip' buttons. A pair of Gibson humbucking pickups are installed, these are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent volume and tone controls.

The Maple neck plays very well, with a profile that could be described as a 'C' shape which fills the hand nicely for a substantial and confidence inspiring grip whilst chord playing. Certainly the profile is on the 'chunkier' side, and is well suited to the rock and blues riffing that the Les Paul is associated with. The gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 24.75" scale, and when paired with the playwear and use that this guitar has seen in the last 30 years, the playing experience feels nicely worn-in and familiar. The Rosewood fingerboard is a premium feature and adds a real sense of luxury.

The pair of Gibson humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick, throaty and full-bodied tones, just as we have all come to expect from a Les Paul. The traditional Les Paul control layout is as practical as ever, allowing you to tailor your sound without going near a pedal board. An instrument from one of Gibson's best eras, with genuine vintage vibe and patina from its 30 years of use.

Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers. We advise checking the total import cost with Customs as this is not information we are able to accurately provide.

    Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Delamination of the lacquer finish can be seen to the front face. This is typical for 90's Gibson Models. The top rear edges display chipping to the finish that reveals the wood beneath.

Neck: Overall very good condition. The binding demonstrates delamination of the lacquer finish. This is typical for 90's Gibson Models. An indentation is present to the bass side in line with the 12th fret. This can be felt under the finger on inspection, but cannot be felt in playing position. Any other markings to the neck and fingerboard are difficult to discern.

Body: Overall very good condition. All aspects of the body display nitro cellulose checking, light scratches and indentations, most notably on the lower bout edges where the wood beneath has been revealed, most consistently along the bottom front face edge, however also to a similar degree along both treble and bass side lower bout edges.

    Condition of Frets:

Overall very good condition. Moderate indentations are apparent in the early register which quickly improve further up the fingerboard. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.

    Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5/16" socket) not included.

Hardware: Overall very good condition. The gold hardware displays some tarnishing that does not affect its performance. The bridge tone knob has been replaced with a chipped 'volume' knob. Some sinking is apparent to the bridge causing the middle strings to sit lower than the E strings - this is not detrimental to the instruments playability and has been set-up to compensate for this.

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.

Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm

Please be aware that the action on a guitar may move slightly in transit and this measurement is the current height.

    Strings on Guitar - 10-46

    Electrics: Fully functional.
