Here for sale we have a Gibson Les Paul Special Japanese Proprietary Electric Guitar in Wine Red finish. Built in the USA in 2016, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body, Mahogany neck and 22 Medium Jumbo fret Rosewood fingerboard. This instrument is fitted with an adjustable wraparound bridge, Graph Tech nut and Gibson Deluxe tuning machines. The pickups installed are a pair Gibson P-90, these pickups are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, independent volume controls and independent tone controls.
The Mahogany neck plays well, with the SlimTaper profile providing a smooth and responsive playing experience in all registers. The Gloss finish to the rear of the neck is very pleasant to the touch, and assists with smooth transitions up and down the register. The traditional 12" fingerboard radius feels as flat and consistent as ever, offering comfortable playability right the way up the neck. The lack of Maple cap on this guitar keeps the weight low, ensuring this is an instrument which is easy on the shoulders.
The pair of P-90 pickups installed in this guitar deliver a thick and full throaty tone, with a warm low end and driving midrange that is complimented well by crisp and cutting highs. The roundness of the neck pickup is perfect for solo tones, whilst the brightness of the bridge position will put your rhythm playing front and centre in the mix. The pickups are fantastic for pushing the front end of an amplifier, whilst offering excellent dynamic control. The simple control layout is not intrusive to the playing experience and offers comprehensive control of your tone. The volume and tone pots are highly interactive, responding very well to subtle changes.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall good condition, the treble side front corner has become flattened through an indentation which pierces the finish. Scuffing and scratching is apparent on the front face towards the top edge. Some delamination of the finish is apparent surrounding the low E tuning post. The top edge demonstrates some finish touch up which is apparent upon close inspection. All edges of the headstock demonstrate moderate indentation.
Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard.
Body: Overall good condition, the front face demonstrates a patch of finish repair performed to a more professional standard than the previously mentioned finish touch up on the headstock. All aspects of the body demonstrate light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles, most notably to the rear face consistent with buckle rash.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5/16" socket) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of use. The bridge has been replaced for an intonatable bridge, the original is included.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
