Here for sale we have a Gibson Les Paul Classic Premium Plus in Transparent Amber. Made in the USA in 1995 this guitar features a one piece Mahogany body, Maple top, Maple neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Stainless Steel fret, aftermarket Faber TOM style bridge mounted on ABR1 posts with added thumb wheels and Faber tailpiece and Gibson Deluxe tuning machines. A pair of aftermarket Seymour Duncan Antiquity humbucking pickups are wired to traditional les paul controls.
The Mahogany neck plays beautifully, with the profile offering comfortable playability and easy reach across the register. The gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 24.75" scale, whilst the single cutaway body design ensures easy access to the upper frets. The dark Rosewood of the fretboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its traditional 12" radius is practical for a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The one piece Mahogany body features the 'classic' Les Paul experience; substantial & resonant while the Stainless Steel frets offer a durable and fluid playing experience.
The pair of Seymour Duncan Antiquity humbucking pickups installed in this guitar provide a fantastically thick and full tone right out of the gate. The neck is warm and round, with huge solo tones and smooth, buttery distortion on offer. The middle humbucker is thick and creamy, saturating beautifully into full-bodied distortion as you crank the gain whilst turning the volume and tone controls provides a crisp, crystalline clean tone. The humbucker in the bridge position offers full-bodied yet cutting rock rhythm tones that will catapult you to the front of any mix with ease. The pickups clean up nicely too, with shimmering clean sounds ready for the softer sections of the set.
