Here for sale we have a Gibson Les Paul '100' Standard in Heritage Cherry Sunburst Candy finish. Made in the USA in 2015, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a Mahogany body with traditional weight relief and 'AA' Figured Maple top, Asymmetrical SlimTaper Mahogany neck and 22 fret bound Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is equipped with G-Force robotic tuning machines and Chrome Tune-O-Matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece. The pickups are a pair of Gibson Burstbucker Pro humbuckers that are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, individual volume and tone controls, with push/pulls on each control for coil split, phase reverse and control bypass functions.
The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the Asymmetrical SlimTaper profile feeling slender in the hand without being too thin. Being slightly chunkier on the bass side and slimmer on the treble side creates a feeling of dependability whilst remaining articulate enough for technical playing. The traditional 12" fingerboard radius strikes the perfect balance between comfortable chord playing and smooth lead lines, making for a truly authentic yet refined Les Paul playing experience. The addition of the G-Force robotic tuning machines ensures that tuning is fast and effortless, with alternative tunings ready to play at the touch of a button.
The pair of Gibson Burstbucker Pro humbuckers in this guitar offer warm and rich tones, exactly as you would expect from a Les Paul. The neck position is thick and creamy, saturating beautifully into full-bodied distortion as you crank the gain. The bridge position is as bright and biting as you could ever need, helping you to cut through any mix with your rock rhythm tones. The addition of individual coil splits add versatility with thinner tones on offer, whilst phase reverse and control bypass functions ensure this is a very practical instrument. This guitar truly is a fantastic celebration of its inventor's 100th birthday.
