Here for sale we have a Gibson EB13 Electric Bass in Black finish. Made in the USA in 2012, this set-neck constructed bass consists of an Ash body, a Maple neck, and a 20-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Babicz Full Contact bridge, Grover tuners, a Corian nut, and a set of Alnico V humbucking pickups that are wired to a neck volume (push/pull coil-split), bridge volume (push/pull coil-split), and a master tone control.
The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the profile feeling chunky without being cumbersome, offering a dependable grip whilst also providing a smooth and articulate playing experience. The Rosewood fingerboard feels pleasant under the fingers, whilst the 12” radius allows for ease of different techniques such as slap bass or chordal playing. The double cutaway body design allows the player to have unobstructed access to the entire register, whilst its light Ash body also makes longer durations of playing a comfortable experience.
The Gibson humbuckers deliver a thick and powerful tone, with smooth rounded lows, clear and open mid range and a sweet treble response that captures the attack and aggression of your playing. The pots feel nicely responsive, allowing you to dial in your perfect tone with ease, whilst the simplicity of the controls ensure that you can stay focussed on your playing whilst still offering comprehensive control of your tone. The option to tap the coils of each pickup allows for an even wider tonal palate, making this bass incredibly versatile.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition, some light indentation is apparent to the top of the front face, continuing on to the top edge. These do not pierce the finish but do cause a slight discoloration at the point of impact.
Neck: Overall excellent condition, it is difficult to discern any markings to the neck and fingerboard.
Body: Overall good condition, the front face demonstrates notable finish wear to the body between the bass side of the bridge pickup and the scratchplate, revealing the wood beneath. The rear demonstrates notable buckle rash towards the neck joint. All aspects of the body demonstrate very light indentation and scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for future fret work.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5/16" socket) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional with light signs of wear, most notably tarnishing and oxidation of the bridge and saddles.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
