Here for sale we have a Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar in Candy Apple Red finish. Made in the USA in 2008, this guitar consists of a Mahogany body with a Maple top, a Mahogany neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Gibson Deluxe tuners with Tulip buttons, a Tune-o-Matic bridge, and a ABR-1 bridge. The pickups installed in this guitar are a Gibson Custom Shop Humbucker in the neck position, and a Gibson 'Dirty Fingers' Humbucker in the bridge position. These pickups are wired to standard Les Paul wiring.
The Mahogany body and Maple top matched with the Rosewood fingerboard and Mahogany neck provide this guitar with soaring responsive resonance that true Les Pauls are renowned for, giving the guitar warm, smooth and rich tones that are an unmatched iconic part of musical culture. The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the 50’s profile filling the hand without being overly thick, this offers a balanced and smooth playing experience. The Medium Jumbo frets and 12" radius provide a robust and smooth playing experience all across the Rosewood fingerboard, and enhance string bending and vibrato techniques. The ABR-1 bridge provides this guitar almost infinite sustain and gives a true vintage feel for the player to get the most out of this guitar effortlessly.
The Humbucking pickups in this guitar offer a full, thick tone, plenty of warmth and roundness is present in the Gibson Custom Shop Humbucker in the neck position. The middle position sounds punchy, with driving mids along with crisp and clear highs making for a nice blend of the two pickups. The Gibson 'Dirty Fingers' Humbucker bridge position provides open sustain and broad harmonic clarity, making chords sound crystalline and clear. The Classic Les Paul wiring gives plenty of versatility without any complicated switching.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall very good condition. The front face demonstrates light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.A further mild scratch is present to the centre of the rear face. Beside the A tuner at the bass side edge of the front face, mild chipping of the top coat of finish reveals the black colour coat beneath. The top edges demonstrate light scuffing and indentation that does not pierce the finish.
Neck: Overall excellent condition. Very light lacquer cracking is present in the upper register at either side of the fingerboard. This has been tested and presents no structural concern. It is difficult to discern any other markings to the neck and fingerboard.
Body: Overall very good condition. The front face demonstrates very light scuffing and scratching on the lower bout, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. Checking of the nitro finish is apparent to the top in several places, particularly surrounding hardware. The sides, rear face, and edges demonstrate very light scratching and indentations, particularly towards the bottom edge. This is visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
Current Set Up:
Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5/16" socket) not included.
Hardware: Fully functional. The hardware demonstrates moderate signs of use, particularly oxidation to the bridge and saddle that does not affect functionality.
Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
Height of the string from the 12th Fret-1.5mm - Bass 2mm
