Here for sale we have a Gibson Custom Shop 1958 Les Paul Standard Reissue VOS Electric Guitar in Washed Cherry Sunburst finish. Made in the USA in 2021, this guitar consists of a 1-piece Mahogany body with a 2-piece Maple top, a solid Mahogany neck, and a 22-fret Indian Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Nickel hardware, an ABR-1 bridge, an Aluminium Stoptail tailpiece, Kluson Single Ring machine heads, and a set of '59 Unpotted Custombucker Alnico III pickups. These pickups are wired to two volume controls, two tone controls, and a three-way pickup selector. The electronics also utilise CTS 500K Audio Taper Potentiometers, and Paper-in-Oil Capacitors.
The 1-piece Mahogany body and 2-pc Plain Maple top matched with the Indian Rosewood fingerboard and Mahogany neck provide this guitar with soaring responsive resonance that true Les Pauls are renowned for, giving the guitar warm, smooth and rich tones that are an unmatched iconic part of musical culture. The Washed Cherry Sunburst finish gives this guitar a classic and timeless look along with the Authentic Profile Nickel silver pickup covers making this guitar a work of art for true Les Paul enthusiasts. The ABR-1 bridge and Nickel plated brass saddles give this guitar almost infinite sustain and give a true vintage feel for the player to get the most out of this guitar effortlessly.
The Gibson Custombucker Alnico lll is standard equipment on the Gibson Custom Reissue guitars and beloved by players for its authentic vintage tonality. The Custombucker Alnico lll characteristics provide sweet harmonic complexity and crystalline clarity derived from its slightly unmatched bobbin windings. Alnico lll magnets are used in place of the traditional Alnico 2 yielding a fatter, meatier tone with more drive and attack and providing the classic Gibson "Patent Applied For" tone with a hint of attitude. These are matched with CTS 500K Audio Taper Potentiometers and Paper-in-Oil Capacitors that will allow the player to recreate classic tones all at the fingertips, whilst also providing an almost darker, woody tone letting the tone of the wood sing true.
Gibson's legacy through accuracy, authenticity and attention to detail is legendary, and this R8 is no exception. This authentic recreation exemplifies Gibson's tireless quest for accuracy to the original year of production, from the wood selected to the construction to the parts and precise contours throughout. Each Reissue is every bit the instrument and statement piece as the priceless vintage examples, providing an ownership experience that is endlessly fun.
