Fully Setup Ready To Play - Comprehensive Luthier Report - Fast Delivery

Here for sale we have a Gibson Custom ES-335 Dot Reissue Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar in Vintage Sunburst finish. Made in the USA in 2011, this guitar features a set-neck construction comprising a 3-Ply Maple/Poplar/Maple body, a Mahogany neck and a 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This instrument is fitted with Nickel hardware including Gibson ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and StopBar tailpiece, along with a set of Grover Rotomatic tuning machines. A pair of Gibson '57 Classic passive humbuckers are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch and independent volume and tone controls.

The Mahogany neck plays very well, with the 1960's Rounded ‘C’ profile that sits very comfortably in the hand and offers an articulate and responsive playing experience in all registers. The Gloss finish to the rear of the neck ensures that navigation of the 24.75" scale is an effortless affair, whilst the Rosewood fingerboard provides a pleasant and luxurious surface for the fingers. The 12" fingerboard radius is traditional for Gibson, and strikes the perfect balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for lead lines and string bending. The smooth lines of the body are as comfortable in the arms as ever, whilst the semi-hollow construction keeps the weight down and produces a resonant and lively playing experience.

Amplified, the pair of Gibson '57 Classic passive humbuckers work in conjunction with the semi-hollow construction to deliver the full and thick sounds that we all expect from Gibson. The guitar resonates beautifully, filling out the sound with a deep and rich character. The neck pickup is warm and round, and can handle plenty of gain meaning you can achieve anything from jazzy lines through to soaring rock and blues solo tones. The bridge pickup is hotter, driving the front end of an amp with ease and producing the bright, biting tones that cut right through the mix to put your playing front and centre. The traditional dual humbucker control layout feels very responsive, allowing you to explore a wide tonal palette right on the instrument.

Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers. We advise checking the total import cost with Customs as this is not information we are able to accurately provide.

    Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. The front face demonstrates light scratching throughout, most notably circular marks around the bass string winding posts. A small indentation is apparent between the G and B string winding posts, near the treble side edge. This has not cracked or removed any of the finish. Further, lighter scratching is present at the bass side of headstock.

Neck: Overall excellent condition. Very light scratching & indentation to the rear of the neck is visible under direct light & close scrutiny, as is common with high gloss finishes. Any markings to the neck and fingerboard are difficult to discern.

Body: Overall very good condition. Light scratching & scuffing is scattered around all aspects of the body, perhaps most notably at the side of the body at the bass side lower bout. A small indentation is apparent to the treble side lower bout at binding, this has marked but not removed any of the finish. The treble side horn demonstrates a light scratch near the front face binding.

    Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
