Here for sale we have a very special Gibson Brendon Small Snow Falcon Flying V in Snow Burst finish. Made in the USA in 2013, this guitar was part of a very limited run of just 500 signature guitars from Dethklok guitarist Brendon Small. Although very visually striking, the Snow Burst finish is quite subtle in its own way. The slightly grey edges of the burst are only visible under close scrutiny and the front edge of the body is also bound in white. Naturally, a set-neck construction is employed and comprises a Mahogany body, Mahogany neck and a very striking white 22 fret Phenolic fingerboard. Chrome hardware is fitted including a StopBar tailpiece, Nashville TOM bridge & Grover Rotomatic tuning machines. A pair of passive Gibson humbucking pickups are installed, with a Burstbucker 1 in the neck and Burstbucker 2 in the bridge. These are wired to a 3-way toggle switch, master volume and master tone controls, with each pot also serving as an independent coil split.

The Mahogany neck plays beautifully, with the '60s SlimTaper 'D' profile feeling moderately-sized in the hand and providing a smooth and responsive playing experience across the register. The gloss finish to the rear assists with navigation of the 24.75" scale, whilst the design of the body ensures that access to the top frets is completely unrestricted. The Phenolic of the fretboard is quite pleasant under the fingers, feeling nicely smooth and durable. With its traditional 12" radius and Medium Jumbo frets, the fretboard is practical for a wide range of styles and techniques. Indeed, fast articulate lead lines are just as manageable as chord playing and riffs.

The pair of Gibson Burstbucker 1 & 2 humbuckers are Gibson's modern recreation of the original PAF pickup, delivering thick, full-bodied tones which are well suited to blues, classic & heavy rock. The neck position is warm and full-bodied, driving your lead lines and solos to the front of the mix with ease. The bridge pickup is of course brighter, and can handle serious amounts of gain for a saturated tone on your riffs and rhythm playing. The controls are simpler than is typical for a Gibson guitar which is perfect for such a performance-focussed instrument, allowing you ample tone shaping options without intruding on the playing experience. A very limited and collectible instrument in a seriously striking finish.

Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers. We advise checking the total import cost with Customs as this is not information we are able to accurately provide.

    Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. Fine lacquer cracking is present around the front edges where the face plate meets the wood, common with Gibson guitars. Mild nitro checking is present to the rear of the headstock, this is common with nitrocellulose finishes. Light to mild discoloration is present to all aspects of the headstock, most notable towards the top of the front face.

Neck: Overall very good condition. Mild nitro checking is present to the rear of the neck most notably at either side of the neck heel. Lighter fine lacquer cracking is present to the edges of the fingerboard where the binding meets the wood, common with Gibson guitars. Light tooling marks to the fingerboard are likely present from the manufacturing process. The rear of the neck and binding show light discoloration throughout.

Body: Overall very good condition. Mild lacquer cracking is present to the edges of the body where the binding meets the wood, common with nitrocellulose Gibson guitars. Light nitro checking is present at the treble side of the front face near the tailpiece post & output jack.  Light to mild discoloration is present to all aspects of the body, most notably near the lower strap button where it would appear a red strap has reacted mildly with the finish. A light indentation is present to the treble side of the rear face, this has pierced the lacquer finish but does not expose the wood beneath. Light scratching to all aspects of the body is visible under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes.
