Here for sale we have a G&L Fullerton Deluxe Skyhawk HH Electric Guitar in Surf Green finish. Made in the USA in 2020, this guitar consists of an Alder body, a Maple neck, and a 22-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a Nut bone, G&L 12:1 vintage-style tuners, a Dual Fulcrum Vibrato system, a G&L AW4368C Humbucker in the bridge, and an upgraded Seymour Duncan Phat Cat P90 in the neck position. These pickups are wired to a master volume, PTB system, a push/pull coil-split on the treble pot, and a three-way pickup selector.
The Maple neck plays beautifully, with the 'Modern Classic' profile feeling somewhat like a rounded 'C' shape. Whilst not a particularly thick neck, there is some substance to it which provides a sense of character to the playing experience. It strikes a comfortable balance with a feeling of dependability when chord playing, whilst lead lines and solos are well accommodated. The Rosewood of the fingerboard is luxurious under the fingers, with the 9.5" radius and medium jumbo frets ensuring that string bending and vibrato techniques are a smooth and effortless affair.
The G&L AW4368C Humbucker bridge pickup provides a fat and punchy humbucker-like sound, making power chords sound gritty, whilst also providing soaring lead tones. However, with subtler amp settings the bridge offers a bright, glassy clean tone. The middle position provides bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The roundness of the upgraded Seymour Duncan Phat Cat neck pickup is perfect for solo tones, whilst the brightness of the bridge position will put your rhythm playing front and centre in the mix. The Leo Fender designed PTB EQ system gives great tonal versatility, utilising the same layout as your traditional dual-tone circuit but instead the pots are passive master controls for treble and bass, cutting as you roll them down, being neutral when turned all the way up.
Please be aware that for international buyers import fees are not included in our postage and packaging cost, this only covers the cost of the guitar being sent to you. Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers. We advise checking the total import cost with Customs as this is not information we are able to accurately provide.
