Here for sale we have a Furch Blue OM-CM acoustic guitar in Open-Pore Satin Natural finish. Furch is a high-quality guitar brand from the Czech Republic, with roots going back as far as the '70s. František Furch, a metalworker, began making instruments in the late '70s due to their scarcity in socialist Czechoslovakia. He made his first guitar in '81, and after a positive response continued to craft instruments from his garage. Due to the strict prohibition of private businesses by the communist regime, he remained in his garage until the fall of communism in 1989 when he was able to move to a small factory space. Since then the company has grown into a well renowned guitar brand the world over, known for exceptional quality, solid wood construction and innovative design.

This particular instrument was made in the Czech republic in 2019, and features an all-solid construction comprising a 'AA' Western Red Cedar top, 'AA' African Mahogany back and sides, African Mahogany neck and a 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge and head plate. The body is double-bound in Faux Tortoiseshell, whilst the top features multi-stripe purfling & rosette, with a walnut inlay. A TUSQ saddle & nut are fitted, along with a set of Chrome Furch sealed tuning machines.

The African Mahogany neck plays fantastically, with the Furch Soft V profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip whilst remaining slim enough for articulate playing. The V profile is often overlooked these days, so it's great to see that Furch are using this highly ergonomic and comfortable profile on its contemporary instruments. The Open-Pore Satin Natural finish to the rear of the neck is nicely tactile under the thumb and helps with smooth navigation of the 25.6" scale. The Ebony fingerboard is pleasant to the touch and adds a real sense of luxury to the playing experience, and with its 15.75" radius offers a flat and consistent surface in any register.

The voice of the Furch Blue OM-SM is warm and rich thanks to the all-solid construction and fine tone woods that have been selected. The African Mahogany back and sides add a real depth to the sound, with warm lows that refrain from being too soft to deliver plenty of detail. The mid range is open and clear, whilst the Western Red Cedar top provides an unpronounced but accurate treble response that enhances the overall warm tone of the instrument. The OM body design offers a supremely well-balanced tone, with plenty of warm, accurate bass response and a sparkling treble response which beautifully colours every note played on the instrument.

Import fees will be charged by Customs upon the guitar's arrival in the recipient country. Due to Brexit, this also applies to EU buyers.
