Here for sale we have a Fret-King Super 60 in Sunburst finish. Made in Korea circa 2000’s, this guitar features an Alder body, Maple neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include a 2-point Wilkinson VS401V tremolo bridge and a set of Gotoh Locking tuning machines. The pickups installed are a pair of Single-Coils and an after-market Wilkinson P90, which are wired to a 5-way blade switch, master volume and master tone controls.
The Maple neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the 'C' profile allowing for easy fretting in any register and lending itself well to a wide variety of styles. The Indian Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant to the touch, and with its 10” radius offers a nice balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for lead lines. Medium jumbo frets enhance vibrato and string bending techniques whilst also providing a rock-solid and smooth playing experience.
The single-coil pickups deliver classic tones with a modern edge for the contemporary player. The middle pickup sits great with a nice balance of bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones. The neck pickup is smooth, with a beautiful warm, rounded tone that handles distorted tones well The Wilkinson P90 in the neck position is fantastic for sparkling clean sounds or those bluesy crunch tones.
