Here for sale we have a Fender Vintera Road Worn '70s Telecaster Deluxe in Olympic White Road Worn Nitrocellulose finish. Made in Mexico in 2020, this guitar of ocurse features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck & 21 fret Maple fingerboard. Nickel/CHrome hardware is fitted including a Strat String-Thru Hardtail bridge with Bent Steel Saddles & a set of vintage-style split-post 'F' Stamped tuning machines.  A pair of Fender Wide-Range humbucking pickups are installed, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch & independent volume & tone controls.

The Maple neck plays very well, with Fender's Medium 'C' profile filling the hand nicely for a substantial grip when chord playing, yet remaining slim enough for fast articulate playing. The Maple fingerboard provides a smooth and durable playing surface, and with its 9.5” radius is well suited to lead lines and string bending. This paired with the Medium Jumbo frets ensures a playing experience which is perfect for the more technical player. The 'Worn' finish to the rear of the neck is akin to Satin that makes it very tactile and pleasing under the thumb and ensures that navigation of the 25.5" scale length is an absolute breeze.

Fender's Wide Range pickup was released in 1971, having been designed by Seth Lover, who was responsible for Gibson's PAF humbuckers in the '50s. Lover had jumped ship to Fender by '67, and was the perfect man for the job when Fender were looking to break their reputation as the 'single-coil company' and gain a foothold in the Gibson-dominated humbucker market. The Wide Range humbucker was installed as standard in Telecaster Thinline, Deluxe & Custom models, as well as the Starcaster throughout the seventies, before eventually being discontinued with the guitars around 1979. Fender's more recent reissues of the pickups in fact use AlNiCo magnets to closely emulate the sound of the original pickups. A seriously cool tele with a real vintage vibe.
