Here for sale we have a Fender Vintera '60s Jaguar in 3-Color Sunburst finish. Made in Mexico in 2020, this guitar features a bolt-on construction comprising an Alder body, Maple neck and 22 fret Pau Ferro fingerboard. Nickel/Chrome hardware is fitted including a 6-saddle Vintage-Style adjustable bridge with 'Floating' tremolo tailpiece & Vintage-style split-post tuning machines. A pair of Vintage-Style Jaguar single-coil pickups are installed, and are wired to the Jaguar's extensive controls. This includes two separate 'rhythm' & 'lead' circuits, with the lead circuit offering two on/off pickup switches & a tone circuit control as well as master volume & tone controls. With the circuit selector in the up position, we have thumbwheel control for volume & tone on the neck pickup.
The Maple neck plays beautifully. The Jaguar stands alone in Fender's line-up as their only short-scale instrument that was not designed as an affordable student model. The short scale certainly informs the playing experience, making for a neck that feels very easy to manoeuvre and making those long stretches easier to reach. The 7.25” radius combined with Vintage-style frets offer an authentic '60s playing experience. Whilst the controls are extensive, they are well set out for easy access whilst playing & provide a wide tonal palette to experiment with.
Amplified, The Vintage-style Jaguar single-coils deliver a bright, raw tone in the lead circuit. The neck position is warmer, but still easily cuts through the mix. The rhythm circuit provides a darker tone from the neck pickup, adding an almost jazzy quality to your lead lines. Whilst unconventional in terms of switching, the Jaguar offers a seriously versatile set of tones that make it suitable for a wide range of genres. Indeed, the instrument has been seen in the hands of everyone from Johnny Marr to Kurt Cobain.

Aesthetic Condition:
Headstock: Overall excellent condition. Mild indentations can be seen to the front face near to the nut, these can only be seen under direct light and do not break the finish. Light scuffing is present to the top edge of the headstock, seen only under close scrutiny & direct light.
Neck: Overall excellent condition. All aspects of the neck and fingerboard display light signs of past use.
Body: Overall very good condition. Mild indentations to the rear face are present at the treble side lower bout, lightly breaking through the finish & exposing the wood beneath. Further lighter indentations are present at the treble side front edge of the upper bout and at the rear edge of the upper horn. All aspects of the body display light scratching which can only be seen under direct light, as is common with high gloss finishes.
Condition of Frets:
The frets demonstrate moderate signs of use, not affecting playability. Mild denting and flattening of the frets is apparent in the early to mid register, improving as you climb the neck. There is moderate material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
